Functional groups

Terracotta is used for food purposes or not. Thus, it is used for storage containers for inedible products (tobacco jars, ink fountains), for the toilet (basin, chamber jars), for artisanal tools (scales, crucibles) or for construction materials (bricks, tiles).

Food containers are certainly the most abundant. They are classified by tree structure, the containers for eating, drinking, preparing, cooking, storing or transporting, are then distinguished into flat or hollow plates, cups or bowls, jugs or bottles, etc.
